In House Training

Midlands Carrier Transicold (MCT) and Carrier Transicold of Southern California (CTSC) are proud to offer in-house Carrier training.

MCT and CTSC are the first dealerships in the nation to be allowed to provide training opportunities within our locations. Our in-house Carrier training program is beneficial because it enables us to schedule training around our technician’s busy work seasons.

Our goal for in-house training is to provide every technician with the opportunity to become a Carrier Master Technician. Having a highly trained knowledgeable staff of Carrier Master Technicians allows us to provide every customer we work with the confidence in our technician’s skill level and the assurance that we are providing the best full circle experience start to finish.

Specifically, to become a Master Technician through Carrier, you are required to complete four modules.  Our technicians are able to obtain in-house courses for modules 1, 3, and 4.  Prior to MCT and CTSC offering in-house training, we had to send our technicians to Athens, Georgia, or Syracuse, New York for each training course. The necessary travel and extended time away from work needed to complete each course greatly limited our employee’s ability to obtain the required training in order for them to sit for the master technician exam.  Currently, we only send our technicians to Athens or Syracuse for module 2 and the master technician hands-on examination.

MCT and CTSC’s training program is led by Luke Klingbeil and David Escolas.  Together, they offer over thirty years of teaching experience and more than twenty years combined as technicians.  MCT’s instructors have been specially trained in their respective fields of diesel mechanics and Carrier refrigeration.  Both are excited to be mobile instructors that are enhancing and embracing the flexibility that will provide many with the opportunity to become a Carrier Master Technician.

Our instructors believe that the future of MCT’s training program relies on the ability to adapt to more dynamic teaching methods, so they are always striving to provide our techs with the most extensive training possible. Along with our Carrier training, MCT also offers in-house EPA 608 (R404A), EPA 609 (R134A) and forklift training.

Above all, to be awarded the privilege of being able to offer in-house training from Carrier Transicold is an honor for both MCT and CTSC. We are proud of our reputation for providing high-quality work and providing industry leadership.
